MITCH ROWLAND AUTHOR

BIOGRAPHY

Mitch Rowland’s earliest writing memory was of his childhood comics. Though they began as an excuse to draw, each successive issue produced smaller illustrations to make room for the encroaching words.

Deciding, just out of high school, that he wished to tackle the epic fantasy, Mitch began a journey to transcribe Lincoln’s story. Originally one novel, The Sword of Eternity was written and revised as a personal project during the summer breaks, between semesters, and was finally completed in November 2011. For marketability purposes, the book was later broken in half and re-titled Eternity’s Reach and Eternity’s Redemption respectively. Mitch hopes they will serve as a strong foundation for a series of novels, as well as a career in speculative fiction writing.

Mitch is an avid writer and a stubborn editor. The White Robe is his third novel and first foray into the world of Science Fiction. Based on the idea of “old technology,” The White Robe is inspired by futuristic places where advanced civilizations have left an impact, while humanity struggles to survive.

His fourth novel, The Beast Within, is Mitch’s twisted love letter to his home town of Grand Haven, Michigan. While Ancroft is fictional, it is rich in that seaside “touristy” charm, with several subtle nods to west Michigan and the cosmic horror genre popularized by H. P. Lovecraft.

When he’s not writing, talking about writing, or reading, Mitch enjoys video games, coffee, and long, analytic discussions about super heroes. He lives along the coast of Lake Michigan and is kept sane by his wife.
